Things to try
- "How much is a drain cleaning?"
- "My water heater is leaking, can someone come today?"
- "Are you a real person?"
The browser demo uses your device's built-in voice; real calls use a premium phone voice.
What missed calls cost a San Diego plumbing company
Change the numbers to match your business.
An estimate, not a promise: it multiplies the calls you miss by how many would have become jobs and your average job value.
What it handles for your plumbing company
- Triage emergencies (active leaks, no water, sewer backups) and flag them urgent
- Quote your service-call fee and the prices you publish
- Book estimates and service calls into your calendar with the address and the problem
- Ask about water heater age, fuel type and access before the truck rolls
Questions from plumbers
Setup is self-serve and takes about ten minutes. From $99/month; extra minutes $0.35, capped; 7-day refund. See pricing.
Can it tell a real emergency from a routine call?
Yes. It asks what is happening, marks active leaks, sewage and no-water calls as urgent, texts you right away and, if you allow it, transfers the caller to your on-call phone.
Will it quote prices?
Only the prices you have written on your website or in your settings. If a caller asks for something you have not priced, it says a technician will confirm on site and books the visit.
Can it book a water heater replacement estimate?
Yes. It asks the tank size, fuel type, age and where the heater sits, then books the estimate visit and puts those details in your summary.
What if a caller has sewage coming up?
It treats it as urgent: tells the caller to stop running water, flags the call urgent, texts you at once and offers the next emergency slot or a transfer to your on-call phone.
Can calls be recorded in California?
California is an all-party (two-party) consent state for recording phone calls: everyone on the call has to know it is being recorded. Hazel says "this call may be recorded" in the first sentence of every call, before recording starts, and you can turn recording off in Settings.
Will it book in San Diego time?
Yes. Your line runs on Pacific Time, so every slot Hazel offers and every summary you get is in local San Diego time. It answers around the clock, including the 107 hours a week a typical plumbing company is closed.
